About Groomania

Groomania's mission is to unite and inspire professional and student groomers worldwide through a comprehensive platform that includes competition, seminars, workshops, and the latest trends, ultimately boosting their business and knowledge.

We prioritize education and continuously adapt to meet the evolving needs of the niche market, with participant feedback playing a crucial role in shaping our offerings.

Groomania strives to foster a community where networking, deals, and sponsorships can flourish, under the leadership of Kitty Ponnet and Kitty Dekeersgieter, strengthening the market value for grooming professionals.

Our target audience includes students, teachers, experienced and aspiring groomers, breeders, hobbyists, and anyone with an interest in the world of grooming. We provide a range of categories for the competition or the many seminars, ensuring that everyone can find a suitable challenge.

We are proud to work with the European Grooming Association EGA, which provides expert judges to evaluate the participants' performances. Overall, our aim is to empower the grooming community by providing a platform that promotes learning, growth, and collaboration and is a fun factor.

In addition to our mission of uniting and inspiring professional and student groomers worldwide, at Groomania we place a high value on friendship and making new connections within the grooming community. Our annual party on Saturday evening is a great opportunity to socialize with like-minded individuals and build lasting relationships.

Do I need to buy a Ticket to visit Groomania ?

Are you ready to experience the biggest and best Groomania yet? Then get ready to grab your Personal tickets and join us for an event like no other! If you want to enjoy Groomania as a Visitor, then you need to purchase your Visitor ticket . But don't worry, the cost of the Visitor, what's also in the mean time your Parking ticket, pass is a mere €9 per person, and it will grant you access to the main areas of the event. That means you'll be able to explore the trade show, watch the competitions, and mingle with fellow dog grooming aficionados from all around the world. You can choose the day you want : - Friday Visitor Ticket - Saturday Visitor Ticket - Sunday Visitor Ticket - All weekend Visitor Ticket Please note that the visitor pass does not include access to the seminar rooms on Saturday and Sunday. But don't worry, separate tickets will be available for these sessions. We know you're excited to be a part of Groomania, and so are we! Can I bring my dogs to Groomania ?

Absolutely! We welcome well-behaved and leashed dogs as visitors to the Groomania event and tradeshow. We understand that pets are a significant part of our attendees' lives, and we are thrilled to have them join in the fun. However, please note that under no circumstances should you leave your dog in your car during the event. Additionally, if your dog happens to poop inside or outside the event venue, it's essential that you clean it up immediately. We want to ensure a pleasant experience for all attendees and exhibitors, and appreciate your cooperation in keeping the venue clean.
When will Groomania be open to visitors?

Groomania 2024 starts on Friday 20 september and i this year a 3 days celebration, So Friday, Saturday & Sunday. The doors to the Groomania event and trade show will be open to the public starting at 8:30am. This is the perfect time to explore the exhibitors' booths and meet other International colleagues. However, if you're a competitor in the Groomania grooming competition, you're welcome to arrive from 7:00am. The doors will be open to competitors at this time so they can access the bathroom and prepare their dogs for the competition. We encourage all competitors to arrive on time to ensure they have enough time to get their dogs ready for the competition. In addition to the tradeshow and grooming competition, we're also hosting a series of seminars for pet professionals and enthusiasts. The seminars will start at 10:00am and cover a wide range of topics. You'll have the opportunity to learn from industry experts and expand your knowledge and skills. To participate in the grooming competition or attend the seminars, you'll need to register in advance, you find the Tickets at the ticketing button.
Do i need to buy a Ticket to join the seminars On Friday & Saturday ?

To attend the seminars on Friday & Saturday, you'll need to register in advance and buy your Personal Seminar ticket. You find the Seminar Tickets at the ticketing button. The seminars will start at 10:00am and cover a wide range of topics. You'll have the opportunity to learn from industry experts and expand your knowledge and skills. You can Choose between a VIP ticket, Seminar Ticket for Saturday or a Seminar ticket for the Sunday . Without a Seminar Pass, you can't acces the seminar rooms.
Can I bring my Dogs to the Groomania Party ?

Unfortunately, we can't allow dogs at the Groomania Dinner and Dance Party. The event is very crowded, and people will be dancing and having a great time. We want to ensure everyone's safety and comfort, and having dogs in this environment could be stressful for them. However, we do understand that your dog is an important part of your life, and we want to make sure they are taken care of while you enjoy the party. That's why we'll have a quit dogsitting place available until 12pm.
Can a competitor reserve a timeframe to wash dogs in the bathing area?

We're excited to welcome all competitors to Groomania, and we want to make sure you and your dogs have the best experience possible. While we don't offer specific timeframes to wash your dogs in the bathroom, we want to assure you that the bathrooms will be available for everyone to use on a first-come, first-served basis. We believe in giving everyone equal opportunities, and we don't want to create any exclusivity by offering reservations. That being said, we kindly ask that all competitors respect each other's time and space in the bathroom area. We understand how important the competition is to everyone, but we also want to make sure that everyone has a positive and stress-free experience. Please be mindful of your fellow competitors and avoid taking up unnecessary time or space. Let's work together to make Groomania a success for everyone involved!
Do i need to bring a dryer or table to the Bathing area?

No , Everything is there for you . We've got everything you need in our bathroom area, including tubs, grooming tables, dryers, shampoo,... We want to make sure all competitors have access to high-quality equipment, so we kindly ask that you respect the materials that we provide. Please don't take any of the supplies home with you or use them outside of the designated bathroom area
Is there a doggysitter at groomania ?

Yes, Our dogsitting service is at your service . On Friday from 8.30 am till 12PM ( for the dinner&Dance party) . On Saturday & Sunday from 8.30am till 6pm. Important: Please bring a cage with your dog(s) as well as their food and drinks. It is absolutely forbidden to leave dogs in the car, and we ask you to let your four-legged friends out regularly. So, leave your dog(s) safely in the hands of our professional dogsitter.

Whit what kind of breed is it possible to compete in the Beginner's group ?

It is possible to compete in the Beginner's class at Groomania with breeds in the 4 official Classes. That means : - Poodles ( All sizes) - Pure breeds - Spaniels & Setters - Handstripping breeds ( All kind of Terriers, Teckels, ...) The eligibility criteria for competing in the Beginners group depend on your grooming experience and previous winnings. To determine if you can enter as a beginner, please refer to the rules.
What documentation do you require to validate that the competitor can indeed compete in the Beginners group?

As the organizer of Groomania, we value fair play and integrity. While we do not conduct formal checks on competitors' qualifications, we rely on their honesty and trust them to provide accurate information about their grooming experience and qualifications. In cases where dishonesty is discovered, it can lead to backlash on social media platforms. Therefore, competitors are expected to uphold the integrity of the competition and provide accurate information regarding their grooming experience and winnings.
If competing in the Competition, should one also purchase tickets separately to seminars?

When competing in the grooming competition, it is important to note that purchasing tickets separately for seminars is necessary. While a competitor's entry ticket grants access to the competition area and trade show, seminars are separate events that require additional ticket purchases.
By purchasing tickets to the seminars can one also watch the competition or for this additionally a visitor ticket needed?

If you purchase tickets for the seminars, your ticket is also valid for the mean area, to watch the competition and explore the trade show as well. The seminar ticket usually grants access to all areas of the event, including the competition area and the trade show. This means you can enjoy both the educational seminars and the excitement of the grooming competitions without needing an additional visitor ticket. However, it's always advisable to double-check with Groomania for any specific requirements or restrictions related to ticketing.
Can I buy a day seminar ticket and use it for all seminars ?

Yes, Of course . The seminar ticket allows you to enter all seminars for that specific timeframe . So if you buy 'all day Seminars', you can enter all 9 seminars that day. To subscribe for the seminars , you have 4 different tickets: - Friday - Saturday - All weekend ( 2 days) - VIP weekend ticket It's important to note that the access to seminars is specific to the type of ticket you purchase. Please ensure that you select the ticket that aligns with the seminars you wish to attend.
I’ve purchased a ticket for Groomania but can no longer attend. Can I get a refund or cancel my ticket?

We understand that sometimes plans change. However, as per our policy, all ticket sales for Groomania are final, and we are unable to offer refunds or cancellations for purchased tickets. If you are unable to attend, you do have the option to resell your ticket. You can do this independently or by posting in the Groomania Community Facebook Group, where you may find someone looking to purchase a ticket. We recommend handling ticket transfers privately and promptly to ensure a smooth transaction. Please note that the organization does not facilitate or oversee the resale of tickets.
